This three hour tour begins with a drive along Durban's Golden Mile
continuing to the harbour entrance for a short stop. Travelling along
the Victoria Embankment the tour passes the Vasco Da Gama clock, the
Dick King statue and the yacht Club. After passing the sugar terminal
and the University of Natal, the tour proceeds through the residential
areas of Berea and Morningside to the Botanical Gardens with its splendid
orchid house. The last stop on the tour is at the famous Indian Market
full of spices and souvenirs. Passing the Post Office and City Hall in
the city centre the tour ends.

After departure from Durban, this three hour tour travels through the
suburbs of Westville and the residential area of Kloof. The first stop
is at Assagai Safari Park, overlooking the Valley of 1000 Hills, where
guests visit a crocodile farm and snake park. The tour continues to Phezulu,
a small kraal, which includes an informative talk about the Zulu traditions,
a display of Zulu Dancing and the opportunity to meet a Sangoma.

After driving along the north Coast road through sugar cane fields and
farmlands we arrive at Shakaland, a Zulu kraal situated 17 kms from Eshowe
in Zululand. The visit includes a visual explanation of typical Zulu
traditions: beer brewing, spear making, hut building, pottery, weaving,
traditional dress, Zulu etiquette and the layout and social structure
of a kraal. After a spectacular display of singing and dancing a typical
Zulu meal is served in an open restaurant overlooking the Goedetrou dam.
There is also a cold buffet for the less adventurous.

the Waterfront and the tour follows on the islands showing the buildings
of interest such as the Kramat, which commemorates one of the founders
of Islam in South Africa. Guests can see the Stone Quarry, a place where
many human hardships have occurred, the Lime Quarry which was made famous
by the political prisoners who worked there regularly with pick and spade
and the Maximum Security Prison which Nelson Mandela describes as "without
question the harshest, most iron-fisted outpost of the South African
penal system".

This programme offers daily shark diving/sighting tours (weather permitting) off Gansbaai, approximately 12 km offshore from Gansbaai (2hrs drive from Cape Town) we find two islands situated next to each other. Due to a number of geographical reasons - one being the shallow and narrow channel that turns between these two islands - Dyer Island has become known as one of only two unique areas in the world, where the chances to view the Great White Shark, rises exceptionally high. Other wildlife species such as Cape Fur Seals, Cape Gannets, Cape Cormorants, Jackass Penguins, whales and dolphins are also likely to be sighted.
1 DAY TOUR

06h00 - Door-to-door collection in Cape Town metropolitan area (air-conditioned microbus).
08h00 - Breakfast at a quaint restaurant in Gansbaai with mountain and sea views. Briefing and presentation of complimentary T-shirt/peak cap.
09h00 - Launch from Kleinbaai Harbour. 30 minutes later, anchor in or nearby "Shark Alley". Once anchored in the channel, we make use of a specially designed, secure, two man cage, which floats on the surface, with our divers (minimum open water one qualification) no more than 1m below the surface. Only experienced divers are allowed in the cage and our non-divers will have a great opportunity to watch the sharks feeding from the safety of the boat, where exhilarating photographs and video footage may be captured, at close range. The boat is a luxurious and powerful 30ft deep-sea cabin cruiser, fully licensed to South African safety standards. With a spacious cabin, private toilet, beds, fresh drinking water and a top fly-bridge for photography. It offers all the comforts for a safe and fun filled day at sea. Underwater video-camera hire is available.
12h00 - Snacks, fruit and soft drinks are served on board.
14h30 - Return to Kleinbaai harbour.
15h00 - Lunch/wine served at a restaurant, situated on the cliffs of Walker Bay, Hermanus, known as the best area in the world for whale spotting. Presentation of Diving Certificates.
18h00 - Return to Cape Town.
