Day 1-2

NamibiaOn arrival at the Windhoek International airport you depart to the north for Etosha National Park.
Overnight for two nights at a 5 *****Lodge

Namibia`s capital Windhoek is a city with "continental" atmospere, because of its architecture - historical buildings as well as its cuisine, culture, dress and educational institutions. At the same time Windhoek has the colour, sounds and tempo of a modern African city. It is a starting point of an adventurous holiday to the country.

The lodge is situated on the 30 000 hectare private game reserve on the foothills of the Ondundozonanandana Range with wonderful views across the plains below. It is ultimately an extension of Etosha National Park as it lies directly on the southern boundary of the park. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet, bath and shower. At the front of each chalet is a private viewing deck for afternoon reading if you're not inclined to take a dip in the swimming pool to cool off. Within the private game reserve, one can take part in nature walks, night drives and other activities, which aren't permitted in Etosha National Park. Rhino tracking on foot is one of the most popular activities. Either on the reserve or in Etosha, guests also have the chance to see Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, White and Black Rhino and all the plains games of Namibia including Springbok, Oryx and Hartebeest. For the keen birder, hours can be spent next to waterholes spotting large varieties of birds from a Pygmy Falcon to some of our endemic species such as Hartlaub's Francolin, the Barecheeked Babbler or Ruppel's Parrot.

Day 3

Depart for Damaraland for a Desert Elephant experience.
Overnight: in traditional African safari tents with en-suite facilities

The camp is situated on the north slopes of the Huab River terraces. The camp integrates the local community, environment and wildlife, offering a true wilderness experience in magnificent surroundings. Eight large tents in east African style face the southern view, each with en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold showers, basin and toilet. There is also a family unit comprising two meru tents connected by a bathroom. Desert adapted elephant frequent the dry river lines along with an amazing variety of other wildlife.

The area offers excellent walking and mountain biking for the more adventurous.

Please, at all times, keep in mind that there are no fences between you and the environment and that the animals are wild.

Day 4

Guests can explore this wild and remote area in the company of the dedicated conservationists hosting them, together with local trackers. The camp has large "meru" tents with en-suite facilities including bucket showers with hot water on call.

There are large populations of Hartman's mountain zebra, giraffe, Oryx, springbok and kudu. The predator population is the largest outside of the Etosha National Park with over 100 lions, cheetah, leopard, brown and spotted hyena. Bird life is prolific and diverse with most of Namibia's endemics present. This concession supports a healthy population of desert adapted black rhino and elephants.

Some of the camp activities on offer are rhino tracking on foot or by vehicle, night drives and full day outings (with a picnic lunch) on the concession.
